Hampshire - Duroc piglet

Sows are a mixture of pure bred Berkshire, Tamworth, Large Black, and Duroc - Hampshire. Our breeds are chosen for temperament and nurturing qualities. 

"Vinnie" and "Clyde", our Hampshire and Duroc boar,  share the pastures with the sows and assist in detecting fertility. Artificial Insemination (AI) is also utilized to assist with breeding. Our sows are usually bred twice per year yielding litters around early summer and late fall.

We consider our pigs to be ready for finishing when they are around 250 to 280 pounds live weight.
